Business leaders invited to complete survey

Business leaders in Guernsey are being invited to take part in a bi-annual survey about the confidence they have in the economy and their companies.

The Institute of Directors (IoD) said the information would give useful economic data to the Deputies and civil service.

Richard Hemans, the IoD lead on the economy, said businesses "all need meaningful data and information to make the best decisions".

The first survey is planned to open on 13 May.

In the survey members of the IoD will be asked to state the industry they work in and the size of their organisation.

This is followed by questions on their confidence in the Guernsey economy and their business over the next year.

They will be asked to share their expectations for their company over the next 12 months and a list of the top five challenges affecting their business.

Mr Hemans said: "We hope that the IoD membership and other business leaders will participate in the survey, it only takes a few minutes and we look forward to sharing the results with our members and other stakeholders in late June."
