'Dancing With the Stars' Week 8 Results: Which Couple Went Down After the Trio Dances?

Six remaining couples take to the dance floor, Monday, May 6 on ABC. For the first time this season, each couple will perform two routines in an effort to impress the judges and earn America's votes.

SPOILER ALERT: This recap reveals the elimination results of Week 8 of "Dancing With the Stars."

It was a week of threesomes, but Tuesday night marked the end of the line for two contenders on "Dancing With the Stars." After the Week 8 ballroom and trio dance rounds, Sean Lowe and his partner Peta Murgatroyd were eliminated from the competition just one week before the semifinals.

"The Bachelor" star was this week's leaderboard bottom dweller, scoring a mere 42 out of 60 points for his two dances with his Australian pro partner on Monday night. After the performances, Sean told On the Red Carpet, "It was a really tough week, but I'm smiling. Whether I go home ... I have a wonderful life." Although he's joked that he's the "whitest man on 'Dancing With the Stars,'" he said he'd welcome the Afro-jazz dance if he made it to next week. (In a Twitter vote, viewers voted for him to do disco.)

This week's dances featured the first perfect score of the season, which went to teen TV actress Zendaya Coleman and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy. The Disney star and her partners wowed the judges with a salsa trio (Russian dancer Gleb Savchenko was brought in for the threesome), prompting Bruno to remark that she "didn't need the underwear models." Indeed, the attention was all on this season's queen of salsa.

On the flip side of the judges' glowing reviews, Kellie Pickler got a dose of the dark side of Len Goodman after her dark and stormy paso doble trio with Derek Hough and Tristan MacManus. The head judge slammed the threesome for their "flashing lights and crashing music," saying he "expected more," and blasting the dance as a "hodgepodge of moves just to titillate the taste buds." After demanding to know where the recognizable paso content was, he got into it with the other judges, going so far as to curse at Bruno. Twitter was abuzz after Len's meltdown, with former "DWTS" contestant Sherri Shepherd tweeting:

After his elimination was announced by host Tom Bergeron, Sean said he’s enjoyed every second of competing on "Dancing With the Stars."

"I'm truly blessed to have taken part with all of these stars," he said. "I'm still just a normal guy from Dallas. What an incredible opportunity."

Next week the stars will dance five new dance styles that viewers voted for via Twitter. Here's how those votes panned out:

  • Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough: Flamenco

  • Ingo Rademacher and Kym Johnson: Charleston

  • Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy: Hip-Hop

  • Aly Raisman and Mark Ballas: Afro-Jazz

  • Karina Smirnoff and Jacoby Jones: Lindyhop

In addition to this week's ousted celeb, Andy Dick, Victor Ortiz, D.L. Hughley, Lisa Vanderpump, and Wynonna Judd have all been eliminated from "Dancing With the Stars" this season. Olympic skater Dorothy Hamill dropped out of the competition in Week 2 because of an injury.

The next episode of "Dancing With the Stars" airs on Monday, 5/13 at 8 PM on ABC.
