'Psych' Sneak Peek: Shawn's Caught Setting Up a Gentlemen's Lunch [Exclusive Video]

The upcoming episode of USA's detective dramedy "Psych" is chock-full of daddy issues, when Shawn Spencer (James Roday) is hell-bent on building a relationship with his girlfriend Juliet's (Maggie Lawson) stepdad Lloyd -- played by guest star Jeffrey Tambor ("Arrested Development"). He's just a harmless accountant, right? Wrong.

In this exclusive sneak peek at the first minute and a half of "No Country for Two Old Men," head detective Carlton T. Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) announces that shots have been fired in a nearby neighborhood.

Shawn recognizes the address as a spot near his dad's house. Interesting, comments Lassiter, adding, "The witness described a middle-aged bald guy in a Costco Hawaiian shirt fleeing the scene, getting into a Cadillac SUV being driven by another middle-aged bald guy in a yellow tie." Juliet is clearly peeved.

Shawn's scheme of setting up his dad, Henry (Corbin Bernsen), and Lloyd for a "gentlemen's lunch" has backfired big-time. Her stepdad is actually a gambling addict, and he's back to his old tricks.

As it turns out, the two dads are abducted to Mexico, and the team has to head south of the border to find them. Looks like Shawn should have listened to his girlfriend and let their family ties form naturally.

In another storyline, Burton "Gus" Guster (Dulé Hill) is feeling suffocated by his relationship with Rachael ("ER" star Parminder Nagra) and her kid, but is trying to put on a brave face in front of Juliet: "I wish Rachael had more kids. I wish we were the black von Trapps." But when Shawn confronts Gus alone, the truth comes out: "I don't wanna be the black von Trapps; I want to be 'I Am Legend.'"

To find out if Shawn and Juliet's rescue mission is a success (and if Gus bails on his lady), tune in to the 99th episode of "Psych" on Wednesday, 3/20 at 10 PM on USA.
