Depending on who you ask, having an animated Twitter avatar is annoying, entertaining, enjoyable or none of the above. You either love it, hate it or don't care.
As of Tuesday, Twitter appears to be taking their anti-GIF policy seriously by freezing all animated avatar uploads. The company released a new set of design features that do not support GIFs. Users who currently have animated avatars seem to remain unaffected.
