Valentine's Day is all about love -- and who doesn't love a freebie, especially in the City of Brotherly Love? Here are 10 ways to celebrate Valentine's Day for free in Philadelphia this year.
* A free photo op is available at Philadelphia's LOVE Park? The Center City plaza houses a colorful fountain and Robert Indiana's famous sculpture of big block letters that spell out the word "Love."
* Valley Forge National Park is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Philadelphia. It's free to stroll the park's 3,500 acres and if you time it just right you can take in a glorious Valentine's Day sunset.
* Political satirist Stephen Colbert recently announced on "The Colbert Report" that Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops will offer free servings of his Americone Dream ice cream on from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. You can find a Philadelphia-area location here.
* Philadelphia-area Bath and Body Works stores will dole out free travel-size items. With this coupon you can get a free signature travel-size item (think a scented lotion or gel) valued at $5.
* Qdoba restaurants are offering a buy one free one free deal. If you buy one entree at Qdoba on Valentine's Day and share a kiss with someone, you'll get another entree for free. The BOGO for a Kiss bargain is valid when you kiss your significant other, family member, friend or an "understanding stranger." All you have to do is bring your lips.
* Redbox is offering a free, one-day DVD rental on Tuesday. The announcement can be found on Facebook and the code to use at the kiosk is "Heart."
* If you're looking for a sweet for your sweet, use this Quiznos coupon to get a free cookie at Philadelphia-area stores. No other purchase is required.
* Philadelphia's Eastern State Penitentiary is offering buy one get one free admission on Valentine's Day. According to the ESP website, the Day tour focuses on love stories throughout the prison's history. This offer can only be redeemed online by using promo code BALLANDCHAIN.
* Philadelphia's Official Convention and Visitors Site lists a bevy of free museums, religious sites and historical attractions such as the Edgar Allen Poe National Historic site, the Rodin Museum, City Hall and the Liberty Bell.
* February is also National Children's Dental Health Month. After digging in to that heart-shaped box of chocolates, stop by Jefferson Hospital with your kids on Tuesday for free toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental floss (as well as a lesson for kids on how to properly brush their teeth), courtesy of Jefferson's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
