11 Things Girls Who Don't Care About Fashion Never Have to Worry About

From Seventeen

You love looking cute, of course, but fashion definitely isn't a priority in your book. Fashion just isn't your thing, and you're totally okay with that. Sure, you might freak out when you have a special occasion, like a date or a dance, and you may never win any Best Dressed awards, but there are also so many other things you don't have to worry about when you're not a fashion girl. Like...

1. Staying on top of the latest trends. Fashion trends come and go pretty quickly, so fashionistas have to be on top of all of them and fight to get that must-have item in their closet first. You, on the other hand, can take your time on picking that item up because whether it's in or out isn't even on your radar. Which means you don't have to worry about THIS sort of thing while shopping:

2. Spending all your money on clothes. Because you're in no rush to get your hands on trendy fashion items, you don't have to worry about dropping major cash on any of them when they first come out. You can afford to wait a couple months for that hot new scarf or shoe style to go on sale and save a whole lot of money.

3. Taking cute OOTD pics. Everyone has that one friend who's always obsessing over taking that perfect #OOTD pic for their Instagram. Whether it's trying to find the perfect backdrop or making sure every piece of clothing and single accessory is perfectly in place, nailing that perfect outfit shot can be quite the time-consuming and stressful task. As cute as your friend's OOTDs always end up, thinking about making your own on the reg just makes you feel tired.

4. Waking up early to pick out your outfit. In the morning, you have no trouble whatsoever picking out what to wear. Once in a while, you might spend a bit more time on your outfit because you have study hall with your crush or something, but other than that, jeans and a cute tee will do.

5. Matching. Ok, so those deep blue boots don't technically match with those pants, but deep blue is practically black, so it's good enough.

6. What's "in" and what's "out". Someone who's more fashion conscious than you might worry if that boho skirt is totally out now, but you know what? WHATEVS. Clothes are clothes are clothes, and you wear what you want, and don't care if anyone has a problem with it.

7. Wearing the same thing twice. Not only do you not care about wearing something too many times, but because you don't care about wearing the trendiest outfit, you never have to worry about running out of things to wear.

8. Losing track of time while shopping. Some people can spend the entire day shopping at the mall just for fun. You're not one of those people. When you go to the mall, you might browse around a bit aimlessly to see if there's anything particularly cute hanging on a mannequin somewhere. But most of the time, you have the item you really want to buy in mind, and once you have it, nothing much gets in the way of you paying and getting out of that store within 20 minutes.

9. Friends begging you for fashion advice. You know nothing about fashion, so luckily, your friends never come to you for advice when they need help picking out a date outfit or shopping for new jeans. Fashionistas can end up spending more time making over someone else's outfit than they do their own. You only know because your stylish bestie has to do it for you every time you have a date with bae or need help finding a homecoming dress.

10. Finding matching jewelry. If you even wear jewelry, whether it really matches or not is neither here nor there. You have one or two pieces of jewelry you wear with everything. But figuring out how to match it to your outfit or your shoes or whatever people match it to, and layer it perfectly together seems really tricky and like it could take a lot of time to get right. Which is why you leave it to your more fashion-conscious friends.

11. Or socks. They're covered by your shoes! Who CARES if they match?!
