16-year-old killed in Lauderdale Lakes shooting, Broward deputies say

A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed Monday night in Lauderdale Lakes, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at the 4000 block of Northwest 30th Terrace around 8:30 p.m. when they found him and a 15-year-old boy with gunshot wounds, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Miranda Grossman said.

Paramedics took the teens to Broward Health Medical Center, where the 16-year-old died, Grossman added. The 15-year-old is expected to survive.
