The rules of physics are pretty insane. Last week, we saw a single human accelerate through 23 miles of atmosphere: Felix Baumgartner actually moved faster than the speed of sound during his leap from the stratosphere.
Equally amazing, Felix's freefall picked up serious momentum on the web. People around the world were able to watch and discuss his space jump, in ways that would have been impossible only a few years ago. People, animals and ideas can all demonstrate the incredible acceleration that occurs in our world, which is why we asked readers to show us photos of momentum in their day-to-day lives.
