2012 Sundance Film Festival Boss Robert Redford: Betty White 'Had Her Chance' With Me

Betty White has made no secret of her crush on 2012 Sundance Film Festival boss Robert Redford, but it appears the time for the two to get together has now passed.

Over the years the newly 90-year-old has been asked if there was anything she hasn't done in her life, and her regular reply has been "Robert Redford." When asked about it at Sundance on Thursday, Robert had a message back for the sprightly senior citizen.

"Well, you tell Betty she had her chance," Robert told Access Hollywood correspondent Tim Vincent.

Robert is currently in Park City, Utah, at his own Sundance Film Festival, an event that has spanned more than three decades. The Hollywood legend told Access he puts the festival's staying power down to being willing to change with the times.

"For one thing, I think that change is inevitable, that's how I see it. One thing you can be sure of is that things are going to change. Now those people who are afraid of change, they create their own problems," he said. "We don't fear change, we embrace it... As change occurs, we're fluid enough because we're flexible enough to flow with it."

The Sundance Film Festival runs through the end of the month in Park City.
