20. Duke University

In the U.S., Duke University offers its students a wide range of opportunities for studying abroad. One program, DukeEngage, pays for students to do community service for one of 78 nations for eight weeks, according to the university's website.

The University of Pennsylvania, located in the U.S., has an international student and scholar services department that provides international students with the assistance they need with immigration and adapting to Philadelphia and campus life.

Located in the U.S., the University of California--San Diego offers students a variety of short- and long-term opportunities to study abroad.

Yale University, located in the U.S., has a center for international and professional experience, which provides every undergraduate who receives financial aid with the opportunity and funding to study, work or research abroad, according to the university's website.

Princeton University offers counseling and support services to students who are suffering as a result of international disasters, according to Princeton's website. The school is located in the U.S.

12. Imperial College London

Imperial College London offers programs that allow Ph.D. students to split their time between the campus in the United Kingdom and schools in Asia, according to the school's website.

11. Johns Hopkins University

Johns Hopkins University, located in the U.S., has more than 3,000 international students from more than 121 countries, according to the university. Students have the opportunity to study abroad in nearly 30 countries.

10. Columbia University

Based in the U.S., Columbia University has eight global centers that handle a variety of research initiatives around the world, according to the university's website.

9. University of Chicago

The University of Chicago, based in the U.S., brings students and scholars from around the world to live and study together in a diverse residential community known as International House.

At the University of California--Los Angeles in the U.S., international students make up more than 11 percent of the student population.

In the U.S., students at the California Institute of Technology can choose from several European and Australian study abroad opportunities, according to the school's website.

More than 60 percent of graduate students and 17 percent of undergraduate students at the United Kingdom's University of Oxford are international students, according to the university's website.

Approximately half of each graduating class studies abroad during their undergraduate career at Stanford University in the U.S., according to the school's website.

Located in the U.S, the University of California--Berkeley hosts international students from more than 120 nations, according to the school's website.

Most of the international students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the U.S. are graduate students, according to the school's website.

Located in the U.S., Harvard University offers more than 250 study abroad programs for students, according to the university's website.
