    Acclaimed American actress Meryl Streep turned 63 on Friday. Streep, who is often considered one of the greatest living actresses, is famous for her ability to transform into an array of different characters.

    Streep has earned three Academy Awards. Her most recent win came this past year for her portrayal of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady. To members of sites such as Tumblr, she is perhaps best known for her role as Miranda Priestly, the icy editor in chief of Runway Magazine in The Devil Wears Prada. This performance spawned countless memes and Tumblr creations.

    Dedicated Meryl Streep fans have even dubbed themselves "Streepers."

    One of the most popular memes is Meryl Streep is Better Than You, which features a heightened and elitist version of Streep proclaiming her own grandeur. The meme plays off of her positive and down-to-earth image.
