3 charged with robbing, battering 16-year-old boy on CTA platform

CHICAGO — Three people have been charged after they allegedly robbed a 16-year-old boy on the CTA platform in Austin.

Henry Coleman, 23, Tyrese Johnson, 23 and Jordyn Loevassur, 20, were arrested around 1:25 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 and 1700 blocks of South State Street, according to Chicago police.

Police said just minutes before, they battered and robbed the boy on the CTA platform in the 4800 block of West Lake Street.

They are all charged with one count of robbery and one count of aggravated battery, according to Chicago police.

They are due in court for a detention hearing on Tuesday.
