30-foot RV fire requires team effort from Wellfleet, Truro, and Eastham

WELLFLEET — Firefighters early Sunday morning extinguished a fire that destroyed a 30-foot recreational vehicle parked on Cassick Valley Road.

Neighbors called 911 to report the fire and Wellfleet Fire Department dispatched crews to 45 Cassick Valley Road at 3:28 a.m., the fire department said in a news release.

When the first engine arrived at the scene, crews found the RV vehicle engulfed in flames. The Eastham and Truro fire departments lent a hand and with their help a sufficient water supply was established.

The RV was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The fire was extinguished by 4:09 a.m.

The cause of the fire remains unknows, though it is believed to be accidental, according to a press release by the Wellfleet Fire Department.
