The plates are going to move around. It just happens that a lot of the plate separations are throughout the pacific region. Hopefully no one was hurt and the shaking was all there was. I was there during the 70's and the flightline concrete would look like water from the 5 point earthquakes. Interesting but somewhat scarey.

There's a Tall Redwood Tree that stands silent in the Pacific Northwest, a Tree unique to all others that holds Historical memories of much of what mankind has done with its freedoms, its liberties, its stewardship of this planet's natural resources, and itself. This Tree has bottled up essentially every kind of exchange imaginable and stored it in the "Rings of Time" at its very core, a solemn duty by anyone’s calculations. Some Spiritualists tell of a "Day of Reckoning" just over the next Horizon, that when this very Tree has been Fallen it will unleash a Judgment Day unlike any that mankind has released upon itself.

no wonder these earthquakes happening over the past years, but we cant blame man for doing this, no trillions of pounds of ore ,gold, silver, you think the electric wires in your house are from mixing water and flour? and not to mention oil, and anything else...if a part of your body were taken from you would you miss it?

That's because in the Philippines has a very strict building code. Everything has to be built Earthquake proof. It's a lot more expensive to build then it is here. I built a house that is your typical Bamboo house. It ended being quite expense, that's because I had to have cement posts on each corner of each room. They also have enough iron in each one so that if you left the building unfinished for say twenty years or more it would still be there. The same thing is true of the rest of the building. I go by this old resort area that had been started some 8yrs ago. Most of the would is gone, but the cement is all there. There's been very little decay. It's surprising in a way because the hollow block there isn't as good as what we have. That's because what we have is very expensive.

The thing to remember is that those that post mean things constantly are the ones with a life worse than mine. But wait till something happens to them or close to them and they'll be feeling the haters.

HIGH 5 TO YOU, CYOTE! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
Myself, I always think of the 250,000 Filipino heroes who died defending their Pambansang against the imperialist kano boot in 1899, and of the guerrilleros who fought -AND died- supporting the U. S. Rangers in the rescue of 507 American POWs in Camp Cabanatuan -I am honored to personally know one: Sgt. José Villanueva Juachon, who lives in this area, who is one of the escapees from the Bataan march and is one of many led by Capt. Pajota.
Also, some of the many morons here might benefit from learning about the creation of the .45 pistol round: Moro Filipinos, brave to the extent of applying tourniquets to their arms and legs to prevent from bleeding out if wounded, in order to be able to continue charging against the enemy kano. The round was come up with in order to achieve enough stopping power to, indeed, stop them in their tracks.
Anybody talking crap about Philippines has a problem with me.

Well you remember real good except you left out all those who walked the Batan Death march, who we fighting the Japenese for your Islands. The ones that fought with the native people as the underground til Mac Author brought American troops back that freed your people. Alot of Americans died freeing your people,so be alittle more on the kind side. Some of us do know all the history of your country. And a fine country it is!! I have nothing but good to say about your people. Very hard workers, and very proud of there country as they should be. May God keep all of you safe.

5.8 ... does anyone follow the usgs.gov web site. These 5 pointers happen everyday. To me it is a big deal, but why does the press jump on this one. There are many others of this past week alone to talk about if we are going to make a big deal out of this one. I will say this... the bigger ones seem to be making their way up the ring of fire toward Japan. Japan is having 6ers all the time as of lately. So I'm going to take a guess and say Japan is about to get a truely off the chart quake very soon. Here in the U S we have been lucky so far. As we all know luck runs out.

Bunch of morons making bad comment about Filipinos. When they should look at themselves on the mirror, before they judge others. No abusive corrupt government in Philippines get away with their greed and stupidity!! They pay the price and get punish, unlike in America are pretty much corrupted and yet get away with it, because they can manipulate the system... No wonder so many crooks and abusive evil people and the saddest part, no respect toward President Obama as the President of America shameful!!
