How to use the 5 coolest new features on the Galaxy S5

Yet another way the Galaxy S6 will give the iPhone 6 a run for the money

Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone launched just over a week ago and early reports suggest that sales have been strong thus far, having reached into the millions after just one day of availability. Samsung did a good job of toning down the feature spam on its latest phone, but it still added plenty of cool new features that could get lost in the shuffle if Galaxy S5 owners don’t take the time to search through every corner of Samsung’s software.

Last week, we told you about 10 terrific hidden features on the Galaxy S5. For example, did you know that you could write on the handset with a pencil, or that the Galaxy S5 could make playlist recommendations with a simple tilt?

These great tips and more can be found in last week’s coverage.

Now, CNET has gone through all of the S5′s nifty new features and put together a list of the ones it deems to be the coolest.

Want to learn how to use the Galaxy S5′s integrated fingerprint scanner? Want to customize the huge settings menu so you don’t have to fish around for your most commonly used menu items? Want to learn how to get the most out of the phone’s new camera?

Guides on how to use these great features and more can be found in CNET’s post, and there are also a few links to some other tips and tricks mixed in there.
