5 severed heads found in Mexico resort of Acapulco

ACAPULCO, Mexico (AP) — Mexican police have found five severed heads in front of a primary school in the Pacific coast resort of Acapulco.

It's unclear whether the gruesome discovery is related to extortion threats that led about 140 elementary schools in the city to close temporarily earlier this month after teachers and parents decided it wasn't safe enough to start classes.

State police say the five heads were found early Tuesday in a sack, along with a handwritten message threatening three alleged drug traffickers.

The heads all appear to be of men. But some of the five headless bodies found elsewhere in the city a day earlier were too badly burned to immediately determine their gender.

didn't you read THEY had to close their schools because of the criminal element...how much do the mexicans already cost us per day ??? IF we got them out we could balance our budget. Even if we could just deport all of the ones in the penal system...

These people don't care about the kids or anyone else. Just like the Arab terrorists sending their kids and women with boms on them to blow themselves and innocent civilians up.

        Idiot....Trix are for kids!

Those people have gone absolutely insane down there. Pull the troops out of the mid East and put them on our borders!

Ageed, but that would protect American citizens, and our government doesn't want to do that!

Agreed Katie. The person running for the Republican nomination would WIN if that armed border idea was offered by a candidate. It is NOT political problem, it is an American problem that politicians avoid.

America you better start arming yourselves cuz the #$%$ is going to hit the fan probably sooner rather than later

You don't need to arm yourself. The Mexican apocalypse is not happening anytime soon.

The only wayto deal with drug dealers is a eye for a eye. Ahead for a head. If they cut off 5 heads youcut off 10 heads .this is the only thing they understand.

I want Mexico to be, once again, like it was in "The Treasure of Sierra Madre". All these severed heads are spoiling my image of "south of the border".
    • Carolyn  •  7 mths ago
nothing says "resort town" like severed heads.

When will Mexico start executing these worthless IDIOTS?
    • Pertnear  •  7 mths ago
You read this and then realize that the White House doesn't think it is necessary for us to secure our borders? How messed up is that?

Why doesn't the Mexican military just annihilate these sub-humans. They should realize by now that there is no civilized way to deal with them.
    • Chuck  •  7 mths ago
They need to kill these drug dealer .leave them in the streets ,with a sign on them. This is what happens to drug dealers.

What is wrong with these people? The brutality in what they do is unreal. We worry about countries that are across the oceans, we need to worry about our next door neighbors.

This is the results of corruption!! The mexican government has the means to deal with the cartells but to many government officials are on the cartell payroll. The other is the fact that mexico which is a very rich country with fertal soil, tourism, precious metals but still refuses to provide their citizens with a secure and basic utilities in most of the country so they come here and resort to working for cartells,I mean how many americans do you see flocking to mexico for a better life? Mexico needs to find honest people to run their country and improve the life of the citizens...give them pride in themselfs and their home but the cartell knows as long as the country remains mostly poor they will have power and money to intimidate and bribe. The U.S need to put more pressure to the mexican government to simply provide basic services to ALL of their citizens not just the tourist cities.Though legalizing drugs is not popular it will kill the black market in Mexico and the US

Tell me Mexico is not a failed state. It's a north american version of Somalia right next door.
