5-year-old cancer patient's 'commercial' on bravery will inspire you, reduce you to tears

A 5-year-old girl who is being treated for cancer has created an amazing "commercial" to help inspire other kids with cancer to be brave.

"If you have cancer, don't worry," Hannah Higgins says in the two-minute video recently posted to YouTube. "'Cause I am brave, and you can be brave also."

Hannah, who was diagnosed with kidney cancer in February, underwent six months of chemotherapy and radiation at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. She also had surgery to remove her left kidney and part of her right kidney, according to her father, Joshua Higgins.

"Throughout her ordeal, she has always been very matter-of-fact about the entire situation," her father explained a post accompanying the video. "She understands what's going on and knows what's needed to fix it."

The commercial was Hannah's idea.

"She approached us one day and said she wanted to do a 'commercial' to explain to other kids what they can expect when going through cancer," Higgins wrote, "and show them 'how brave' she has been. #teamhannah."

According to a fundraising page set up by Hannah's family, she is expected to finish treatment this fall. To celebrate, they are planning to do the eighth Annual Rady Children's Hospital Shamu & You Family Walk at SeaWorld in her honor.

"We are so proud of her and can't wait to see our tough 'cancer warrior' walk this journey cancer-free," the family said.
