    "6.5 Million Hours of Delays on the Tube” – This App Lets You Claim A Full Refund On Those Delays

    Tube Refund Ltd the company that first launched the acclaimed Tube Refund iPhone App – ‘An iPhone App That Actually MAKES you money’; have just released the brand new Tube Refund Pro. Tube Refund Pro allows commuters to claim refunds not only on the tube but across the Tube, DLR and the Overground. Refunds can be claimed via the Tube Refund website and on the Tube Refund PRO iPhone, Blackberry and Android apps.

    The makers of Tube Refund have launched the all new Tube Refund Pro. A faster, more user friendly app with tons of extra functionality.

    In early 2010, Tube Refund launched an iPhone app in the UK marketplace that actually made its users money. Written up by newspapers and blogs it widely became a must have app for London Tube users.

    The Evening Standard, Techcrunch, This is money, and many more all wrote up and informed their users of this ingenious app - that helped users get refunds on delayed tube journeys.

    The original app allowed users to claim Tube refunds by iPhone. However, Tube Refund Pro allows user to claim on refunds for delays on the Tube, DLR and the Overground. It is also the only app in the UK available across all the key smartphone platforms (iPhone, Android and Blackberry).

    And for non-smart phone users you can still make your claims via the Tube Refund Pro website.

    In addition, the new Tube Refund App allows the user to set up a service to remind them to make a claim on their delayed journey.

    The app is currently available for a 30 day free trial from their website and across the app stores.

    In March 2011 the BBC wrote an article on the lack of refund claims made by commuters. The article went on to encourage commuters and the Mayor’s office to push the use of refund claims for delayed journeys.

    In September 2011, all the papers headlined the fact that commuters spent an extra 6.5million hours on the tube due to ‘unacceptable delays’

    The problem is the majority of travellers are not even aware of their rights to claim refunds on delayed journeys. And those that do claim, need to fill out lengthy forms by hand.

    Tube Refund Pro helps ease the pain by pre-filling the form with all the required details - leaving the user to only input the specifics of their delay. The form is then submitted directly to London Underground with minimal fuss. All claims are then tracked through the app or website.

    With regular increases in the price of travel, overcrowding, continuous delays, ‘adverse weather conditions’, and not to mention the strikes or the upcoming Olympics - Tube Refund Pro could not have come at a better time.
