The 720th Pokemon Is Hoopa Unbound

The Pokedex continues to grow, as The Pokemon Company today announced Hoopa Unbound, an evolution of the mythical Pokemon Hoopa. Hoopa Unbound becomes the 720th Pokemon in the Pokedex.

The Pokemon Company is being somewhat coy as it relates to Hoopa Unbound. The creature will appear in Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire for 3DS, but players "cannot meet [Unbound] through ordinary gameplay," the developer says.

Hoopa Unbound (see the creature's statistics below) carries rings that "have the power to bend dimensions and are said to allow it to seize anything in the world," reads a line from its official description. It is much larger than the original Hoopa form, and has six arms.

"The mystery around how Hoopa regains its true form, as well as the secret of meeting Hoopa itself, has yet to be revealed," The Pokemon Company said, adding that fans should "stay tuned" for more details on how to meet Hoopa in the game.
