On 9-11-2001 I was on my way out the door to go to work, in Ogden, Utah. The TV was on, and I saw the second plane hit the second WTC. I stood horrified, and in disbelief. For several minutes I just stood there watching the horror unfold on TV. I didn't make it to work. I sat down, and just could not move from the TV and the horror. Within the first few hours of this horrible event, I, like so many Americans became a New Yorker. The ramifications of this terrorist act unfold daily. There were nearly 3,000 people killed on 9-11, but there have been more deaths since, to the first responders. The victims have still not been all accounted for. We can never forget the day we witnessed the evil that has the name Terrorism.

Thank you to the kind people of the beautiful State of Utah.

So,, you're Mormon, and I'm Catholic. Big Deal.

Point is, we are all one under the great name of the Creator.

Like so many others that day I watched the initial moments on TV as I was getting ready for work ... it was so surreal ... on my way into work I listened as events continued to unfold - and cried all the way in hoping and praying that my family was safe because I couldn't get through and some of them worked in the Trade Center area ... When I got to work, I learned that our company had lost their building and 2 associates - Joseph Keller and Abdu Malahi - while making sure all the guests were out. The world changed that day - and I will always remember the sacrifice of these two men along with all those who went in and put their lives on the line.
