911 call from Demi Moore's home to be released

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities are set to release a 911 call made from Demi Moore's home earlier this week.

The Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/x6Lu2n ) says the Los Angeles city attorney's office has recommended that certain portions of the call be deleted to comply with federal privacy laws.

City attorney's office spokesman Frank Mateljan tells the Times that the office has reviewed the tape and has made certain recommendations.

A spokeswoman for Moore said Tuesday that the actress is seeking professional help to treat her exhaustion and improve her health. Publicist Carrie Gordon says the decision is due to the stresses in Moore's life, and she looks forward to getting well.

Moore announced in November that she had decided to end her marriage to Ashton Kutcher following news of alleged infidelity.

The practice of releasing 911 calls to the public seems like it breaks the law.. most of the time these calls are made in relation to a medical situation and a person's medical information is supposed to be confidential...

This alone would make me think twice before calling 911. This should only be private information. Shame on you.

really? doesn't she deserve a little privacy? the press is sickening, just like airing heather locklear's dirty laundry...she is emotionally broken and becomes headline news for it? I am not a fan of either woman, don't like or dislike, but they are human beings that are suffering!

The more I think about it the more I think the Police and Public Officials are starting to act like the US is a #$%$ Jerry Springer Show...do we need to know the ins and outs of every family secret or every private celebrity action. Are we really becoming such a "Police State" that a woman's private cry for help needs to be broadcasted and dissected for our digestion and regurgitation.I hope she gets well and never gives another public interview again.

Why is that necessary at all? These people behave as if she's not human. Why not release every 911 ever made on earth? I mean, why single her out for just being who she is?

Why do we need to hear someone's 911 call? That's wrong.

Oh, for god's sake, leave the woman alone - she is dealing with enough in her life and is clearly in distress. BACK OFF.

i feel like this woman has a right to her privacy, just because she is a star doesn't give us the right to bother her and make comments, she is entitled to her privacy

I think that Demi should be left alone! I don't know why the press seems to thrives off of other's pain and misery! I hope she will seek and get help!

#$%$ I called 911 last week because my husband passed out and looked like he was having a heart attack. I got disconnected yet no one tried to reconnect with us. Good thing we weren't being robbed or killed in the mean time but hey I'm not famous so no big deal. No police showed up at my house nothing. I could have been laying dead on the floor as far as anyone knows

Not a big fan of hers but jeez is there any privacy anymore for anything? And if we live, we will ALL GET OLD, so not sure why anyone has to bash her for getting old, not a lot of options if you live other than that...I agree she is way too thin but don't think necessarily she is trying to look 20, she always looked like his Mom in pictures any way but plenty of older men marry young women and they don't get bashed the way she has...
