AAA says Texas retail gasoline prices down 2 cents

AAA survey finds Texas retail gasoline prices slip 2 cents this week, national cost up 1 penny

HOUSTON (AP) -- Retail gasoline prices across Texas have slipped 2 cents this week to settle at $3.37 per gallon.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported nationwide gas prices rose a penny this week to reach $3.63 per gallon.

The association survey found Corpus Christi has the cheapest gasoline in Texas at $3.29 per gallon. The most expensive gasoline was in Amarillo, costing $3.56 per gallon.

AAA says recent higher gasoline prices in some parts of the country have been due to refinery maintenance and other production issues that affected supplies.
