ABC Orders More Scripts for Selfie, Forever, and Manhattan Love Story

If you've got Selfie, Manhattan Love Story, or Forever in your Dead Pool, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you that ABC has ordered three more scripts for each series, according to Deadline. In the wake of last week's full-season orders for How to Get Away with Murder and Black-ish, ABC has shown at least some level of confidence in all of its new fall series except Cristela, which only debuted last Friday.

As for the rest of the new fall slate, NBC recently ordered more scripts for both MomCop The Mysteries of Laura (I think someone is playing a joke on Debra Messing) and Constantine (which premieres Friday, October 24), and The CW ordered more scripts for The Flash and Jane the Virgin before they even premiered. Meanwhile, Fox's Batman-without-Batman drama Gotham landed a full-season pickup.

It should be noted that a script order doesn't guarantee that a series will film additional episodes or earn a full-season pickup. However, it is a good sign that a network thinks the series has potential.

For those of you keeping score at home, here's a breakdown of how the fall 2014 freshman class is doing so far:

Full-season pickupsBlack-ish, Gotham, How to Get Away With Murder
