Abhay K's poetry-painting to highlight Delhi's glory in Rome

By Neelappu Shanti New Delhi, May 24 (ANI): Rome will get the taste of Delhi through poetry-painting by poet-diplomat Abhay K and artist Tarshito in an exhibition on June 3. The exhibition titled 'The Seduction of Delhi' will present the poems of Abhay K and the paintings of Tarshito on major landmarks of Delhi such as the Qutub Minar, Lal Qila, Purana Qila, Jantar Mantar, Ugrasen Ki Bauli, Tughlaqabad Fort, Humayun's Tomb, Safdarjung Tomb, South Block among others. The exhibition is being organized by the Embassy of India, Rome. Poetry-paintings on Delhi were exhibited earlier at the National Academy of Art, New Delhi, and at the India International Centre. A book containing these poetry-paintings titled 'The Seduction of Delhi' published by Bloomsbury was also released at the Jaipur Literature Festival this year. Abhay K is the author of two memoirs and five collections of poems. He has been awarded the SAARC Literary Award 2013 and nominated for the Pushcart Prize 2013. He is the editor of CAPITALS - an anthology on the national capital cities of the world. The SAARC Song penned by him has paved way towards an official SAARC anthem. Tarshito (Nikola Stripoli), a reputed Italian architect and artist, works on spirituality, creativity and tradition between the east and west. Tarshito has exhibited his works in Italy, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Poland, UK and Greece. (ANI)
