ADG Will Give Lifetime Achievement Awards in Four Crafts

For the first time ever, the Art Directors Guild will bestow its lifetime achievement award in all four of its crafts at its annual Excellence in Production Design Awards on Jan. 31 at the Beverly Hilton.

Senior illustrator Camille Abbott (“Flashdance,” “Battlestar Galactica”), above, left, will receive the Illustrators and matte artists lifetime achievement award.

Set designer John P. Bruce (“The Matrix,” “The Waltons”), above, third from left, will draw the lifetime honor for set design.

Scenic artist Will Ferrell (“Funny Girl,” “Around the World in 80 Days”), above, right, will receive lifetime honors in the scenic, title and graphic artists category.

As previously announced, production designer Jim Bissell (“E.T. the Extraterrestrial,” “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”), above, second from left, will receive the Art Directors Guild’s lifetime achievement award. In addition, ADG will bestow its cinematic imagery award to director Christopher Nolan (“Interstellar”).

The announcement was made by John Shaffner, ADG council chairman, and ADG Awards producers Dave Blass and James Pearse Connelly.
