Afghan quick hails Pak's Umar Gul for providing inspiration, help

Karachi, Nov 27 (ANI): Afghanistan fast bowler Hamid Hassan has hailed Pakistani bowling star Umar Gul for being a source of inspiration and help for him. Hassan, who made his ODI debut for Afghanistan in the 2009 ICC World Cup qualifier, was the leading wicket-taker in that tournament and has since played 18 ODIs, taking 33 wickets at an excellent average of 19.30. According to www.PakPassion.net, Hassan said that he has played a lot of cricket with Gul in Peshawar and he was the captain of their team in club cricket, adding that Gul is a good friend of his and has been an inspiration for them all. Stating that Gul has always given him good advice, Hassan also said that it is always good to take advice from the senior players whether from Pakistan or any other team, and he also thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for giving them the chance to play and participate in domestic cricket in Pakistan in the past.
