JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South African traders have placed orders to import an unspecified amount of yellow maize for animal feed from Argentina, which should be coming via ship soon to Cape Town, industry sources said on Friday. South Africa's maize crop has been hit by drought and one of the sources, who asked not to be named, said a spike in domestic prices meant it was cheaper for livestock farmers in the coastal Western Cape province to source maize overseas rather than have it trucked in from the maize belt in the interior.
