How to Get Through Airport Security Swiftly This Thanksgiving
One of the busiest travel weekends of the year is upon us.
And with security tightening across airports following terror threats, this travel season could be even more crowded than in previous years.

As many as 46.9 million people are expected to travel 50 miles or more from home between Wednesday and Sunday, which is 300,000 more people than last year, according to AAA Travel. Of those, 3.6 million Americans are flying to reach their destination.
But Laura Begley-Bloom, Executive Editor of Yahoo! Travel, tells INSIDE EDITION that traveling this week doesn't have to be a headache. Here are her tips for how to beat long lines:
1. Use the TSA pre-check system
Begley-Bloom said: "You get to go through a line that is usually shorter, you don't have to take off your shoes, you don't have to take your laptop out of your bag, you don't have to take your jacket off. So, it saves a lot of time as you are moving through security."
2. Use curbside check-in
"I think a lot of people don't think to use it, but those gentlemen are standing right there ready to help you," she said. "You just give them a tip and they will load your bags in. Often times there is no line. It will really help speed you through if you are checking bags."

3. Use social media to ask the airline for help
"If you tweet to the airline that you are stuck in a long line or you are about to miss your flight, often times they are going to come forward and help you out," she said.
4. Use frequent flyer miles to upgrade for a shorter line
Begley-Bloom added: "Having elite status often will give you access to shorter priority lines at security."
