Aiseesoft Mac PDF Converter Ultimate for Mac review

Aiseesoft Mac PDF Converter Ultimate for Mac allows you to convert PDFs into a number of different file formats including MS Word, Excel, Text, ePub, and many others. You can also easily extract images from PDFs or use the built-in OCR technology to recognize text when converting image-based PDF scans of text documents. All of these features work quite well, and while installation was a bit cumbersome due to the size of the app, it ran smoothly once installed.

Pros

Large range of conversion options: Aiseesoft Mac PDF Converter Ultimate's greatest strength is how many different file types you can convert your PDFs into. Seven text formats and eight image formats are listed by default, and you can customize which PDF pages are converted, too.

Cons

Slow installation and large file: Initial installation took some time due to the sheer size of the download and app being installed (with final size close to 600MB). However, once opened, it runs fine.

Interface is at times clunky and blurry: While the actual functions are quick and responsive, the interface is a bit clunky, and it looks rather blurry on newer Macs with retina displays.

Bottom Line

Aiseesoft Mac PDF Converter Ultimate has some issues that can make initial use more cumbersome than is necessary. But in the end, it does the thing it is designed to do well. Files are generally converted quickly and accurately. While the trial version will inject watermarks that make the files hard to use, the actual conversion of the text is done effectively, making it worth a test if you need a reliable PDF converter.

Editors' note: This is a review of the trial version of Aiseesoft Mac PDF Converter Ultimate for Mac 3.2.18.
