Al Jefferson scored 33 points and added 10 rebounds to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a close victory over the New Orleans Pelicans, 90-87. Charlotte (26-30) is now on a three-game winning streak.
Jefferson shot 14-30 and converted 5-6 from the free throw line. Kemba Walker contributed 13 points and 8 assists for Charlotte as well. On 7-15 shooting, including 2-4 from behind the arc, Brian Roberts scored 20 points for New Orleans in the loss.
This drops New Orleans (23-31) to 1-1 against Charlotte on the year.
Coming up, the Bobcats square off with the Memphis Grizzlies, who are 30-23 on the season. The Pelicans match up against the Washington Wizards, currently sitting at 26-28 this year. The Pelicans are 0-1 versus Washington this season.
