Alarm clears Niagara Falls tour boat building

NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario (AP) — Niagara Parks Police say a fire alarm forced staff and visitors out of the Maid of the Mist plaza in Canada for a more than an hour.

The fire call at the site of the famous Niagara Falls tour boats came in about 9:15 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities trace the alarm to dust in the building's duct work.

Niagara Parks Police in Ontario say workers were quickly let back into the building, but patrons were sent from the Maid of the Mists docks back up to street level while the fire panel was re-set.

Things were back to normal by about 10:40 a.m.
