Just one day before Apple's big press event, alleged pictures of a leaked iPad mini have hit the web.

French site NowehereElse has posted pictures of what looks like a much smaller iPad. The pictures -- which are in line with rumors surrounding the iPad mini -- were first published by Chinese website DGTLE.com, but those pictures are no longer displayed on the site.

The news comes as Apple gears up to launch its next-generation iPhone device on Wednesday in San Francisco. Although there has been speculation that we would see an iPad mini launch soon, industry speculation has said the smaller tablet would get its own dedicated press event in October.
One picture (shown above) highlights the size difference of the iPhone, iPad and iPad mini.

Taller, Thinner Display
It's been long rumored that the size of the iPhone 5 screen will be larger than the current iPhone screens. Many suspect it will be about 4 inches diagonally compared to the existing 3.5-inch display. Meanwhile, according to The Wall Street Journal, the iPhone 5 will tout a thinner screen, which would allow the device to be lighter in weight than ever before.
