Allegiant Air adds Reno route to Bellingham, WA

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Officials at Reno-Tahoe International Airport are excited about a new route to Bellingham, Wash., that they think will help attract more Canadian visitors to the area.

Allegiant Air announced new non-stop service between the cities beginning June 6.

Bellingham is on Washington's coast about 20 miles south of the Canadian border.

Reno-Tahoe International Airport President Krys Bart says the twice-weekly flights were made possible as part of a partnership with several Reno hotel-casinos.

The 166-seat MD aircraft will fly on Thursdays and Sundays with an introductory fare of $69.99.
