Allegiant offers flights between Orlando, Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Allegiant Air will offer year-round flights from Columbus to Orlando, Fla., beginning this fall.

Rickenbacker Airport announced Wednesday that the flights to Orlando will be offered from its charter terminal beginning Oct. 25. Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Co. will offer twice-weekly, nonstop flights to Sanford International near Orlando.

Allegiant spokeswoman Jessica Wheeler says the airline provides nonstop flights to vacation destinations. She says fares for a flight one-way will start at $79.99.

Wheeler says Allegiant operates in more than 80 cities with a fleet of 62 aircraft.
