    Allmand Law Announces “Times are Tough – Win a NOOK!” Social Media Contest Winner

Reed Allmand, managing partner of Allmand Law, launched the social media contest to get people talking about bankruptcy. According to Allmand “Too many Americans are drowning in debt due to the recession; many lost their jobs and saw their savings depleted. Unfortunately, most people have no idea that bankruptcy can help them erase most, if not all, unsecured debt and allow them to get a fresh financial start. The point of the contest was to get information out to the public...and what better way than through social media?”

    Allmand Law, a bankruptcy firm in Dallas, TX is excited to announce that Amy Lippincott, of Cypress, TX is the winner of the month-long “Times are Tough – Win a NOOK!” social media contest. Reed Allmand, managing partner of Allmand Law, launched the social media contest to get people talking about bankruptcy. According to Allmand “Too many Americans are drowning in debt due to the recession; many lost their jobs and saw their savings depleted. Unfortunately, most people have no idea that bankruptcy can help them erase most, if not all, unsecured debt and allow them to get a fresh financial start. The point of the contest was to get information out to the public...and what better way than through social media?”

    Followers submitted bankruptcy questions via Allmand Law’s Twitter account at http://twitter.com/allmandlaw. The questions had to include the Hashtag “DallasBankruptcy”. Answers to the questions were then tweeted. As the winner, Ms. Lippincott will receive a Barnes & Noble NOOK e-reader. Five runners-up will receive a Bankruptcy Information Packet that includes CDs, DVDs and two books written by Reed Allmand. Due to the great success of the contest Mr. Allmand is considering launching another one in the near future. Information will be posted on the Allmand Law website as soon as the details are determined, so check back often.

    In addition to Twitter, Allmand Law connects with the community through Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. Reed Allmand has more than 100 videos posted about the most common questions regarding bankruptcy. He serves as a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Tarrant County Bar Association, and the Dallas Bar Association. Due to his years of experience, he commands high esteem in the courts and handles large volumes of bankruptcy filings each year. Mr. Allmand has devoted his career as an attorney to helping people manage their finances and became certified in consumer bankruptcy by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2005. At Allmand Law, Mr. Allmand and his associates meet their goal of “helping good people get a fresh start” by helping them file for Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy.
