DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Aloe Blacc will sing the national anthem before the 56th running of the Daytona 500.
Daytona International Speedway made the announcement Friday, adding Blacc to a pre-race lineup that includes pop-country singer Luke Bryan and actor Gary Sinise. Bryan will perform a pre-race concert in the Daytona infield. Sinise will serve as honorary starter, waving the green flag to start the race.
Daytona is expected to name a grand marshal later Friday. The Daytona 500 is Feb. 23.
Blacc will release his major-label debut album ''Lift Your Spirit'' next month. The album follows Blacc's collaboration as vocalist and co-writer on Avicii's track ''Wake Me Up,'' which hit the top five on Billboard's Hot 100 list and topped charts in more than 100 countries.
