American Airlines cancels 170 Wednesday flights due to storm in U.S. South

(Reuters) - American Airlines Group Inc has canceled 170 flights for Wednesday because of weather conditions in the southern United States, largely affecting its Dallas-Fort Worth hub. American, the world's largest airline by passenger traffic, also canceled more than 1,000 flights Monday and Tuesday as an ice storm battered Texas, which caused traffic accidents and shut down schools.
