An Epic 90s Supermodel Reunion Is Happening, People

Cindy Crawford and her supermodel squad are back – and we couldn’t be more excited. The 49-year-old beauty has revealed that she and some of her fellow 90s model pals are working on a secret project with fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh.
Cindy posted an Instagram pic of herself on a beach, cuddling up to top industry names Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen, Nadja Auermann and Tatjana Patitz. All of the models were clad in white robes, with what we guess is beachwear underneath. And boy, do they look good. Considering they’re all pushing 50, we think you’ll agree they look absolutely stunning. Clearly age is just a number.
“The reunion! #BTS with @therealpeterlindbergh. Director’s cut video up on @nowness today…More to come,” Cindy captioned the image, which has amassed almost 14,000 views since being posted yesterday.

Lindbergh was the photographer who created arguably one of the most groundbreaking British Vogue covers of all time. His 90s cover feature Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelita, Tatjana Patitz, Christy Turlington and Cindy Crawford as they welcomed a new era of modeling – the supermodel movement.
So we can’t wait to see what Lindbergh is working on with these revered models, it’s bound to be big.
The photographer’s been teasing fans with black and white snapshots of the group of women – which also includes Karen Alexander, who possibly took Cindy’s Insta pic as she isn’t in it. All we know is the reunion is in association with Nowness TV, a video channel that “premieres the best in global arts and culture.”
“Nadja, it is the most beautiful picture of you,” Lindbergh says to the model in an unseen cut of his shoot on NOWNESS. “It has all the things she could not have had when she was 20. And that is what I want to show with this series.”
“The thing that makes working with Peter memorable is his energy,” Crawford says in the video. “He loves women and that really comes across. He really sees the beauty in a mature woman.”
