Anna Gunn to Co-Star in ‘Criminal Minds’ Spinoff With Gary Sinise

CBS has added “Breaking Bad” star Anna Gunn to the “Criminal Minds” spinoff, Variety has learned.

Gunn will co-star opposite Gary Sinise as the female lead in the potential series, which will follow an FBI division that helps American citizens in trouble abroad.

The pilot episode, which will be penned by Erica Messer, is set to shoot this February and will air later this year during the current season of the flagship “Criminal Minds,” as a planted spinoff.

Gunn will play Ally Lambert, an international law expert and talented linguist who’s an indispensable part of the FBI team that handles cases involving U.S. citizens overseas.

Sinise’s casting was announced earlier this month. He’ll play Jack Garrett, a 20-year veteran of the bureau.

Messer, Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper will serve as exec producers. ABC Studios will produce, in association with CBS Television Studios and the Mark Gordon Company.

Gunn is repped by Christian Donatelli at MGMT Entertainment and Lorrie Bartlett at ICM.
