Anne Hathaway: New ‘Les Miserables’ Trailer Plus Her Greatest Film Hits

Anne Hathaway is a true star. In a world of Kim Kardashians and Paris Hiltons, it's refreshing to bear witness to the evolution of a true thespian. We all still love our Kardashians, but for entirely different reasons. Ms. Hathaway harkens back to the old Hollywood glam days of Audrey Hepburn and the like.

With Anne, it appears to always be more about the work than her personal life. Her private travails are sometimes made public, but they never outshine her dedication to creativity and craft. Just recently Raffaello Follieri, her controversial Italian ex boyfriend, was freed from prison and deported following a real estate scam. Hathaway had no part in it.

The brunette beauty sounds incredible in the trailer for her new film version of the Broadway musical "Les Miserables." It takes guts to take on such a legendary project. If "Les Mis" is a hit, everyone associated with it will be praised. If it tanks, the actors will be accused of destroying a legacy. Luckily for Lady Anne, the trailer looks promising.

We look forward to indulging in her newest cinematic experience. Our girl has yet to disappoint. This is a good time to look back at Hathaway's greatest hits.

    "The Devil Wears Prada"

This movie is on the top 10 list of best flicks for women everywhere. Meryl Streep stuns as the "Devil" and Editor-in-Chief of a Vogue Magazine-like publication. Hathaway plays the journalistic newbie who is schooled in the ways of fashion. This movie is mandatory viewing for any fan of Anne.

    "The Princess Diaries"

Anne has come a long way, hasn't she? Julie Andrews moves beyond "The Sound of Music" to play Anne's regal grandmother in this film series. The "Princess" film franchise is touching and funny as we watch Anne's character transform and take a kingdom along with her.

    "Becoming Jane"

Jane Austen plus Anne equals magic. What's not to love? If you are a "Pride and Prejudice" aficionado then you would do well to watch Anne deliver a flawless performance as the young writer. Anne's "Jane" characterization is as bold, brazen and headstrong as we imagine Elizabeth Bennet to be.

    "Get Smart"

This role seemed a bit premature for the starlet. Nonetheless, AH rose to the occasion to deliver a fun performance. The comedic spy film was based on a 1960s Mel Brooks TV series. Anne played Agent 99 to Steve Carell's Maxwell Smart.

So, what do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing Ms. Hathaway in "Les Mis"? What's your favorite Hathaway movie?

Is Anne our generation's answer to Meryl Streep? Who will have more longevity, Hathaway or reality stars like the Kardashians?

    Sound off!

At first I thought the IRS scandal was leaked to distract from the Benghazi scandal. But that didn't make sense because the IRS scandal is a more obvious abuse of power than the White House lying about the murder of four Americans in Libya. Before I had resolved which scandal was distracting from which, we found out the Department of Justice was spying on The Associated Press -- not to protect national security, but to prevent the AP from scooping the White House. Then, this week, it broke that the Department of Justice was also spying on Fox News for reasons that remain unexplained. ...
