Anne Hathaway's Family Is Growing, But Her Space Is Shrinking

From ELLE DECOR

As Anne Hathaway prepares to welcome a new addition to her family - the Oscar-winning actress is currently pregnant with her first child - she's also adding to her real estate portfolio.

But unlike most expectant parents, Hathaway and her husband Adam Shulman, have surprisingly downsized. They just purchased a two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse in Manhattan's Upper West Side neighborhood, that 6sqft.com reports is less than half the size of their former Brooklyn home.

According to Zillow, the parents-to-be dropped $2.55 million on the 1,200-square-foot co-op, which is located in one of the last private mansions ever built on the UWS. The space looks charming, but we do have to admit we're a little disappointed Hathaway didn't make an offer on this apartment from "The Devil Wears Prada."

Her new penthouse does come with two balconies and a private terrace, though, so the family will be able to soak up the sun come spring and summer. Not to mention, the timing is perfect, considering Hathaway will be starring in a one woman show in New York in April and May.

And although the apartment is modest as is, Zillow reports the co-op board would entertain an expansion, so Hathaway and Shulman have options if they decide to further expand their brood.

Take a closer look at the penthouse in the photos below.
