Another Day in Court for Black Voters in Alabama

The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday said a 2012 Alabama redistricting plan by the state’s legislature minimized black voters’ influence. The New York Times reports that the plan would permit racially polarized districts to exist and, in turn, increase the power of conservative voters in mostly white districts.
