AP Source: Ravens cut K Billy Cundiff

BALTIMORE (AP) — A person familiar with the decision says kicker Billy Cundiff has been released by the Baltimore Ravens.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the move has not been announced by the team.

Cundiff lost the job to rookie Justin Tucker, who went 5 for 5 on field goals in three preseason games, including two kicks from at least 50 yards.

Tucker was invited to camp to challenge Cundiff, who made the Pro Bowl in 2010 but went 1 for 6 from 50 yards and beyond last year. He missed a potential game-tying, 32-yarder against New England in the waning seconds of the AFC title game.
