Apple has confirmed that its 2012 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will be held from June 11-15.
The WWDC is Apple’s annual developers’ conference and takes place in San Francisco; the focus of the conference will predictably center on mobile and desktop operating systems iOS and OS X Mountain Lion. The conference will also host an awards event for the best iOS and OX apps.
The WWDC is traditionally where the next iPhone is announced, apart from the 4S, which was announced in October, and many are already speculating on the possibility of an iPhone 5.
This year’s WWDC falls a few weeks before Google’s I/O event, which takes place from June 27-29 at the same venue.
