Apple’s ‘Best of 2016’ list highlights the top movies, apps and TV shows of the year
Apple late on Tuesday unveiled its annual “Best of” list on iTunes. The list naturally highlights some of the best content available across iOS apps, music, movies, TV shows, e-books and more. With more media content to choose from than ever before, it’s certainly easy to get overwhelmed when you happen to be looking for a new app to download or a new TV show to get into. That said, Apple’s list provides a helpful jumping off point for anyone looking for some new entertainment options.

Top Apps
On the app front, the following apps were voted the 5 best Apps of the Year. The top two in particular, Prisma and MSQRD, are well worth checking out if you haven’t yet had the pleasure of using them.
Top 5 Games
Interestingly enough, the top grossing app of the year wasn’t Pokemon Go (which came in second place), but rather Game of War: Fire Age. The list of the 5 highest grossing apps of 2016 also featured appearances from Clash of Clans, Spotify, and of course, Candy Crush.
Top TV Shows
The top 10 selling TV shows on the iTunes Store this past year reads as follows: Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Downtown Abbey, The Americans, The Big Bang Theory, Suits, Mr. Robot, The Blacklist, Vikings, and Modern Family.
