    New Apple laptops take a back seat to iOS 6 at WWDC

    The post-PC era is upon us — or is it post-post-PC? — and while it’s odd that Apple would introduce new notebook computer models now that PCs are supposedly a thing of the past, the Cupertino-based company is right about one thing: mobile is where the buzz is. Social media listening firm Simply Measured analyzed more than 151,000 tweets containing the hashtag #WWDC that were posted to Twitter during Apple’s WWDC 2012 keynote on Monday, and the firm found that users were more interested in iOS 6 than they were in Apple’s MacBooks or its desktop OS, AFP reports. 18% of the tweets analyzed mentioned iOS while 15% spoke about a new MacBook model and only 6% mentioned Mountain Lion. 5% of #WWDC tweets posted during the keynote expressed disappointment that no new iPhone was unveiled, Simply Measured stated.
