Apple releases iOS 7.1 beta 6 for iPhones and iPads

Just over two weeks after its last iOS 7.1 beta was released, Apple’s has pushed iOS 7.1 beta 6 out to developers. Apple’s previous beta, iOS 7.1 beta 5, was released on February 4th and according to BGR’s sources, it was initially intended to be the final beta version ahead of the iOS 7.1 Gold Master, which is due soon. According to another recent BGR report, iOS 7.1 is scheduled to be released to the public sometime in early or mid-March.

As always, iOS developers with an iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display, iPad mini, iPad (third and fourth generations), iPad 2, and iPad touch (fifth generation) can download the iOS 7.1 beta 6 update over the air (OTA) or using Apple’s iOS developer portal.

The latest public release of iOS 7 is still iOS 7.0.5 in a few regions for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, and iOS 7.0.4 everywhere else, including the United States.
