    APR Energy Awarded New Contracts for Power Plants in Peru and Argentina

    APR Energy, an industry leader in the temporary power services market has recently signed two new contracts with current customers in Peru and Argentina.

    APR Energy (APR) was recently awarded two new contracts with existing customers in Latin America, Electroperú S.A. and Energía Argentina S.A. (ENARSA). The Peruvian national electric utility company, Electroperú S.A. awarded APR a contract for a 60MW/ 138kV diesel fired power plant in order to meet peak seasonal demands in the southern region of the country. This new plant located in Mollendo, is in addition to APR’s existing 60MW power plant located in Trujillo, Peru that has been operating since mid-2009.

    “APR Energy’s track record in Peru is an ideal case study for how a temporary power solution can relieve stress on a utility during times of the year when there is the greatest need for electricity,” said APR Energy President and Chief Operating Officer, Laurence Anderson. “APR is proud to be able to continue our relationship with Electroperú; serving the energy needs of the country.”

    APR Energy’s previously existing customer in Argentina, Energía Argentina S.A. awarded an additional contract to APR for 25MW/ 33kV power solution in the city of Magdalena, within the province of Buenos Aires. The diesel powered temporary power plant which will be located approximately 60 km from the country’s capital will provide a temporary power source for the utility until more permanent power can be brought online.

    APR Energy has been working with ENARSA to fulfill the power needs in Argentina since mid-2008 and is presently operating four separate power projects within the country.

    As with most of its temporary power plants globally, APR Energy will be responsible for all installation, operation and maintenance activities of the new power facilities in both Peru and Argentina.
