Argentine unions plot British cargo ship delays

Did anyone get the connection here; the government wants the Falklands back and yet it's the unions doing something about it. So, who's the boss here; the government or the unions or are they the same thing?

Argentina has no legitimate claim to these islands. The only thing they have any claim to is the land mines they left behind after trying to take the islands from the British in 1982. The British should throw them on the Argentinian coast, 250 miles west of the Falklands. What a bunch of bull.

Really? Gonna potentially cause your own country to have rapid inflation due to a loss of trade and that is supposed to be "helping", really?

What is it that the Argentine governent cant understand? The people of the islands want to be British and that is it. Cristina and the government are using this to distract the people of other issues plaguing the country. High inflation, rising transprotation costs, the country running out of cash to pay for its social programs. Hell, the Argentine Congress wants a 150% pay raise. The country will be out of money soon, and then where will it be. I see the people protesting like they did when the peso was devalued in 2000. Argentina only want the oil and natural gas reseves recently found near the islands, nothing more. If the will of the islanders is to be British subjects, then respect their wishes. Argentina doesnt know the history of the islands, let alone their own history. Many people think that they won the watr in 82, which, as we know, didnt happen.

You wouldn't mind post-colonial attitudes if any of these banana republics and backward nations could survive on their own, but once the controls are gone, they devolve into chaos. Then the new regime gets nostalgic for the $$$ they used to make.

Argentinians are desperate about the Falklands, and they definitely need to see SHRINK before the 30th Anniversary in which they INVADED the island and LOST to an outnumbered British Force.

BTW Argentina and the Argentine Invasion Force had the oppertunity to reclaim the Malvinas after the INVASION, and still LOST to an outnumbered British Force. Argentine logistics and supply were not far from the mainland, whereas the British had to ship supply 5000 miles away.

The population want's to stay British, including the sheep, enough said.

The only time the Argys ever owned these islands is when they took them from the Brits in the early 1800's and they kept them for about 1 year before the Brits retook them and that is the Argys only claim to the islands. Maybe the Germans should just use the Argys way of thinking and that is claim France as their own cause after all they did own France in the early 40's after taking it from the French and then those rotten French stole it back from them.

The British have held the Falkland Islands for longer than Argentina has even had a constitution. The Argentinians also try to claim part of Antarctica as Argentina. Most of their trade with Britain is agricultural products. They will merely be hurting themselves.
