Ariana Grande's New Collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Jessie J Is a Lot to Handle
"Bang Bang," Jessie J's new collaboration with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj is a lot to take in. (Though let's get this straight right away: It's really Ariana's collaboration with Nicki and also Jessie walked into the studio while they were recording.) The track leaked onto the web one day ahead of its planned release.
The trio of girl power is bouncy and catchy, featuring Jessie and Ariana belting their little hearts out over heavy production (and we mean "heavy" in the best way!). In a way, it recalls Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends" remix with Kesha: lots of girl power, a Nicki Minaj rap verse, and one hell of a dance beat.
The song really kicks into high gear on Nicki's verse, where she calls out her girls "Jessie and Ari." It's probably too late to get these three to star in True Detective season 2 – and that joke is also too tired for us to complete – but we wouldn't mind a Charlie's Angels-inspired video. Ariana's got to have a number-one single sometime soon, after all. (#Justice4Problem)
